1. Directory, not marketplace

MadeNear is a directory of local makers. We don't process payments, hold inventory, or guarantee any transaction. Buyers contract directly with makers.

2. Maker self-attestation

Makers self-attest that they comply with all applicable laws and regulations (cottage food rules, allergen disclosure, labeling, sales tax, business licensing, etc.). MadeNear does not verify compliance.

3. Founder Pick

"Founder Pick" is a personal recommendation from MadeNear's founder, not a quality or safety warranty.

4. Removal

Listings may be removed at MadeNear's discretion.

5. Limitation of liability

MadeNear is provided "as is." We are not liable for any disputes, damages, or losses arising from interactions between buyers and makers.
